Made with several saucy layers of ricotta, basil, spicy sausage and ooey gooey cheese. It really should be in your family's recipe rotation.
Hands down the best Lasagna I ever made!
For this recipe you will need:
2 packages of whole wheat lasagna
4 - 6 dry shitake mushrooms
3/4 cup white wine to soak the mushrooms
2 tablespoons of olive oil
1 chopped onion
4-5 cloves minced garlic
1 pound ground sausage
2 tablespoons tomato paste
2 cups of marinara sauce
fresh chopped parsley
salt and pepper to taste
2 cups ricotta cheese
3-4 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
2 eggs
4 cups graded mozzarella
2 cups graded parmesan
